WHAT IS KOSMOS 2008?

More than just a mission trip, KOSMOS 2008 is a rare opportunity for athletes and other participants to be trained in the area of missions.  Immediately following training, participants will put into practice what is preached as they are sent into the heart of the mission field.  Various sports clinics will be held throughout the conference as part of the KOSMOS outreach.  Athletes will use their unique talents and abilities to help reach the people of Costa Rica with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

 

WHO SHOULD GO?

  • Cheerleaders and other athletes who have a desire to use their God-given talents to reach the world
  • Coaches, parents or chaperones willing to be used and challenged in the area of missions
  • Must be 13 years or older with a valid passport

WHAT HAPPENS AT KOSMOS?

  • DAYTIME will be filled with a challenge followed by "Hands-on" training as participants are sent out into the mission field of San Jose, Costa Rica.  On the field participants will be active in presenting the gospel through:
    • Soccer Clinics
    • Baseball Clinics
    • Basketball Clinics
    • Volleyball Clinics
    • CHEERLEADING CLINICS - This involves going into Public & Private schools to conduct Cheer Camps and present the Gospel
    • Prayer walking around the city
    • Track distribution and various evangelistic opportunities
  • EVENINGS will provide a challenge for students from nationally known youth and mission speakers including Johnny Hunt, J.R. Vasser, Jerry Gillis, Randy Ray, Jeff Crook as well as many others.

WHERE IS KOSMOS HELD?

  • KOSMOS 2008 conference will take place in the Capital City of San Jose, Costa Rica
  • All KOSMOS participants will stay in the beautiful Barcelo Palacio Hotel in San Jose
  • San Jose is a city of two million.  The people welcome foreign visitors and has welcomed Score International for 15 years.  On your visit you will be exposed to people who don't have a Bible, don't have a church and have never heard the name of Jesus Christ.  The field is white unto harvest.

  • PRICING INCLUDES the following:
    • Airfare to/from Costa Rica
